When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion -- Abraham Lincoln.
I started this blog, really just to start a blog. But I did think about what I want to talk about.
I see how often all of us think that we are really good people. But when was the last time we stood up for the underdog even if it meant giving up something. When was the last time that we sent money to someone because they needed it in the real sense of the word (for basic needs), despite the fact that we might be doing okay But it's hard to part with $100 of the $2,000 we may have in our account. After all $2,000 is not that much. When did we really think deeply about the fact that there is a small child who has no food and what does that mean in terms of buying that drink on a Saturday night without having done anything about that child.
I am writing this blog so that I remember these things. Sometimes I do but mostly I forget. I forget because life is busy, and sometimes it's hard. But not so hard, and not so busy...
Well, this blog will be a reminder for me. It will keep track of what I do that is not for me, that is beyond my little life, that is not centred on me...
Let's hope that what I think I want to be, I can be...
